Cineraria (Pericallis)

  • Impatiens necrotic spot or tomato spotted wilt tospoviruses: Causes yellow spotting or blotching on lower foliage that may progress to necrotic spots that coalesce before leaf wilt. Blackened areas may develop on petioles. Leaves sometimes show a mosaic or ringspot pattern. Control of the vector, the western flower thrips, is essential.
  • Botrytis: Petal blight or leaf spotting in excessively wet environments.
