Celery leaftier, also known as greenhouse leaftier, normally feeds on foliage, but sometimes it will feed on stems, as it has done on this garden mum. Once a troublesome pest especially of mums, it is easily controlled with materials labeled for use against caterpillars. The European pepper moth, Duponchelia fovealis, may also feed at the base of garden mums and cause plants to wilt.
